Parent Participation

All parents are expected to assist in the operation of Playschool. This includes:

  1. Aiding in the classroom when scheduled.
  2. Attending General Membership meetings twice a year.
  3. Participating in a Co-op job.
  4. Being part of a phone chain, to relay messages to other members of your child's class when necessary.
  5. Participating in school fund-raisers as they are scheduled throughout the year, particularly the Silent Auction.
  6. Sharing with the children your hobby, job, or any other hidden talents they might enjoy, when possible.
  7. Taking concerns to the Director and/or the President, so that they may be addressed in the proper manner.

West Chester Playschool, Inc., is a non-profit preschool, operated and administered by parents. Families combine their talents, along with certified teachers, and work together to create a better school environment for their children. Parents assist in the classroom, as well as in the development of the Playschool's programs and policies.
